Brackenwood Garden Centre

About Us

When you come to Brackenwood, you’ll find out first-hand that we love gardening just as much as you do. Indeed, we’ve built our business around helping you to make the most of your garden.

Our passion for all things green-fingered is a family affair, as owners Christine and Peter Herbert acquired the original Brackenwood nursery in October 1980. At that time it was a productive tomato nursery.

It didn’t take long for Christine and Peter’s enthusiasm to really shine through, and the nursery tomatoes quickly gave way to a far wider range of trees, shrubs and plants which were sold wholesale throughout the UK to local authorities, landscape contractors and large developers. The seeds had been sown, literally and figuratively, for the growth and development of Brackenwood Garden Centre as it is today.

The retail side of the nursery, serving members of the public from the local area as well as further afield, is where our business has really flourished. In addition to an enviable range of garden plants and flowers, which you can see in our Products section, we stock all manner of gardening equipment, furniture, giftware and sundries. Our relaxing Brambles coffee shop, meanwhile, allows you to unwind over a drink as you consider your purchases – visit the Coffee Shop page to learn more.

Our close-knit, highly-trained team of staff are always glad to offer guidance and suggestions, but if you’d like more gardening advice, click over to the Garden Doctor page, where our resident expert offers detailed solutions to all your horticultural woes
